How To Instructions for the Media Inclined ( OSX ):

"If everything was easy we wouldn't be proud of anything"

1) Download The_Matrix_Hotboxed.srt.zip, and Unzip it. - (click here or above)
2) Download VLC Media Player - (click here)
3) Download The Matrix from a torrent - (here's a link to the French version)
5) Put the movie and the subtitle file in the same directory
6) Open VLC preferences
7) Click Subtitles & OSD ( which looks like this )



8) Click "All" at the bottom to show the advanced options
9) Click the arrow by Video to open up more video categories
10) Click Subtitles/OSD ( which looks like this )



11) In the 'Use subtitle file' box, browse to and pick The_Matrix_Hotboxed.srt
12) Click SAVE
13) Open the movie in VLC, and wa-la!

STATEMENT

This work was made to entertain the various people who come to The Dude Ranch ( our house ) for Movie Night. Its original incarnation included a Madlib within the subtitles. Before the movie we filled out the Madlib with the crowd. I encourage you to do the same if you feel like editing the subtitle file as such. The subtitle file is easily editable with TextEdit or any subtitle program (ie Jubler ).
